With this second part of information it requires the mods of part 1. ( modification of band initial bits b0;b1;b2; and b3) I suggest to modifie into the E4 version, which includes the 1750Hz tone burst and also broad band receive and transmit. If you pref 800 MHz receive 1) change to UHF Main 2) Hold down the MHZ key for at least a second to change between UHF and 800 MHz. AM receive 1) You can select the AM/FM mode by the same precedure in AM-band ( VHF-main and UxU sub UHF) 2) Hold down the MHz key for at least a second and you switch AM-FM-AM etc. cloning The memory contents of one transceiver can be transferred to one or more other transceivers using DTMF signals 1) Write the mem data into the master trx and determine the tx freq of the tx band. switch the power off, hold down the call and Shift keys and turn power on. The trx enters the clone mode. 2) Make the transmit band freq. of the slave trx same with the freq. in the master trx. Carry out again step 1) 3) Press the PTT key on the master trx mikrophone. The DTMF signals are transmitted. 4) You will see the sign " CLONE" in both displays 5) When all the data has been output, a beeper sounds and " END " is displayed on the LCD. 6) The slave trx receives the DTMF signals for cloning and the DT indicator for the band other than the transmit band blinks. When channel data has been written the beeper sounds and " END " is displayed on the LCD 7) If the signal is interrupted during cloning or if the data is erroneous, the slave trx beeps and LCD shows " ERR " for error. The trx will terminate the processing. Notes for cloning: TRX power is automaticly set to low power. Both trx must have same number of mem channels! Be careful to use an unused freq. !!! Crossband repaeter You can select two different typs of crossband repeater by selecting the transmit band and operation band. 1) Cross band When the receive busy signal turns on, the received audio is transmitted on the other band. When receive busy turns off, both bands are used for reception of incomming signals. 2) Fixed band The transmit band is fixed. When busy signal of the other band turns on, transmission starts. Operation of Cross-band-repeater ( CBR) and Fixed-band-repeater ( FBR) 1) For the operation of CBR the operation band must be different from transmit band 2) For the operation of FBR they must be same ! 3) Hold down the F-key for a second and press the X-key within 10 sec. The dots of the MHz/100kHz/10kHz digits for both bands light and the repeater function is turned on. 4) To cancel the repeater function you must repeat 3) Notes for CBR and FBR You can use CTCSS ( same or different) for receive and transmit band. Please set it up before switch on repeater! DTSS paging does not work! You can not use the VxV or UxU function, because repeater needs different bands repeater hold time You can select 500 msec hold time on/off by hold down 2LOW" key during power on Time out timer TOT Before start of repeater you can set up the TOT by F-key for at least a second and TOT key. When TOT is set up you see the TOT on the LCD. Crossband repeater remote controlled by DTMF This is maybe the biggest feature of the TM733. it works very well. I enjoy it very much to play this function with a FT11 remote handy. It works really wonderful. 1) To start the remote controll function you must first select freq. and switch power of. You switch it on by pressing the CONT-key during power on. This is differnt function to the remote control by DTMF microphone. Please see your manual for further informations regarding the use of TH7 or MC45DM microphones. All informations are included into the english manual. You can use the DTMF remote with every handy trx with DTMF pad ! 2) It is nessessary to set up your own private DTSS code for remote control access. Please set it up for DTSS in the remote band ! You must select the remote freq. for VHF or UHF. You can select the other band by remote. I.e. If you select 144.500 for remote freq.on VHF you can use any freq. in UHF for CBR. 3) When the extern stand by mode is entered S-meter level 1-5-9 and the DT indicator for the other band than the operation band blink 4) When ext-remote mode is entered the transceiver is locked and LOCK indicator lights. 5) Set the remote trx to the same freq. and start the remote control operation by typing the following DTMf sequence: A - x - x - x -# The x is your individual DTSS code, seted up before ! i.e. A - 1 - 2 - 3 - # for DTSS code 123 6) Now you are ready to enter the remote command from handy trx. 7) If you want to switch the CBR back to remote stand by you must send the DTMF seq. A - # 8) For confirmation of signals you can swith on the Answerback-Mode. Everytime you switch on remote-mode and entering remote date the TM 733 will send back a 550msec signal of 1633Hz tone. This just to confirm the remote command 9) you switch on the Answerback-Mode by push the MUTE key during power on. This must be done before you enter the remote stand by mode ! When the function is on you will see the 10Hz dots for both bands blink. 10) Remote Control Commands for DTMF remote on the air They are differnt from microphone remote control as written in the manual. I will come back soon with more features. Enjoy to play with the TM733 transceiver If you need any further informations please do not hesitate to ask me by pr. Best wishes from Hanno DG8JZ@DK0MWX
