Hello everyone,
Finally I decided to modify my old Kenwood TR7800 vhf (2m) radio to work with G3
RUH modem. It is all right and so here you are the details.
About the reception (RXA) I made the connection exactly on a lead of the R69 ( 2
2K) after the discriminator (D8-D7) located on the mother board.
About the trasmission (TXA) I made the connection on T1 test point;that is on th
e central lead of the trimmer VR3 also on the mother board.
The PTT signal was made on the rear of the Micro Jack on pin4. Naturally the wir
es are shielded and I made them passed through an hole that I made on the rear p
anel near the power supply jack.
If you like having the possibilty to switch through data mode- voice mode, you c
an utilize the Alert switch.
