Remove the 2 allen screws holding the front panel. On the "CONTROL UNIT",
locate the Jumpers Points. JP2 must be OPEN, JP1 AND JP3 must be CLOSED with
solder. When JP6 is CLOSED, you can use the 1750hz tone acces for european
repeaters. The expanded range is 118 to 174 mhz on the display, but work only
for 140 to 174 mhz.

**MODS FOR 9600 BAUDS ON YAESU FT-2400H**
Some weeks ago I wrote a letter to YAESU-Japan requesting information about
the necessary mods to work on 9k6 with the FT-2400H.I received a letter from
Yaesu-Japan answering to my question.This is what they wrote to me:

"The FT-2400H can be modified for higher band rate data communications.I have
enclosed a diagram showing the attack points for 9600 band data,as advised 
from a service engineer for the FT-2400H,HOWEVER,THIS HAS NOT BEEN TESTED FOR
PERFORMANCE...."
